Each week I go through a variety of sources and try to put together that top picks for the different positions. I try to go to at least seven different sources and then synthesize that the picks are. Based on the weekly matchups, here is what I found:
WIDE RECEIVERS
START: Good prospects
Mike Evans (TB) – has great matchup against Saints
DeSean Jackson (Wash) – Eagles defense has been weak
recently
Dontrelle Inman (SD) – had a strong past two weeks.
Taylor Gabriel (Atl)– subpar performance last week will lead
to bounce back
Larry Fitgerald (Ariz) – should have a strong matchup
Doug Baldwin (Sea)– has a good matchup this week
Willy Snead (NO) – look for solid matchup here
SPOT: These could work out
Brandon LaFell (Cin) – Has seen his targets go up last three
games, but could be shadowed
Terrelle Pryor (Cle) – several writers have him pegged for
solid week.
Tyrell Williams (SD) – Panthers defense is giving up lots of
fantasy points to wide receivers
Tyler Boyd – A.J. Green is out and he is solid option for
this week
Sammy Watkins (Bills) – continues to make comeback
Malcolm Mitchell (Pats - Mon) – could be sneaky pick for the
Pats this week with Gronk out and Amendola on sideline
SCRATCH: Avoid
Rishard Matthews (Ten) – playing against Denver
Jordy Nelson (GB) – will have Richard Sherman on him this
week
Julio Jones (Atl) – potential turf toe
Running Backs
Start:
Jeremy Hill (Cin) – has 15 plus carries in four of last five
games and is playing browns
Matt Forte (Jets) – great matchup against 49ers
Theo Riddick (Det) – Chicago has given up 100 yards to
rushers in past three games
Frank Gore (Ind) – already had one 100 yard game against the
Texans and is playing them again
LeSean McCoy (Bills) – facing Steelers defense that gives up
a lot to the run
Spot
Lamar Miller (Texans) – could be a good matchup for him
Bilal Powell (Jets) – could be nice if Forte has trouble
Sit:
Rashad Jennings (Giants) – touch matchup against Cowboys
Devontae Booker (Den) – down year and Titans are trying to
play for something
Ryan Matthews (Phi) – returning from injury
LeGarrette Blount (Pats) – Pats face touch run stopping
defense
QB Best Bets
Andy Dalton (Cin) – strong week against Cleveland
Drew Brees (NO) – great matchup to air out passes
Kirk Cousins (Wash) – strong matchup against Philadelphia
Tight Ends
Start:
Cameron Brate (TB) – with so many receivers out, larger
portion is going to fall on Brate)
Dwayne Allen (Ind) – Andrew Luck may look to capitalize on
success from last week
Zack Ertz (Phi) – starting to come around
Tyler Eifert (Cin) –
good to matchup with Andy Dalton
Spot
Jason Witten (Dal) – down year, but might be a clever pick
in this matchup
Jordan Reed (Wash) – good matchup, but dealing with shoulder
injury
Sit
Delanie Walker (Ten) - production has gone down
Martellus Bennett (Pats) – will be protected and extra O
lineman this week
